Teachers Agreement

As the teacher of an Internet user:

  • I will establish reasonable rules for my students to use the Internet.

  • I will set reasonable times and reasonable length of times to allow my students to use the Internet.

  • I will not over-react if a student comes to me with embarrassing, hateful, angry or other inappropriate communications from the Internet. We will work together to solve this problem.

  • I will take an interest in my students activities on the Internet.

Students Agreement

As an Internet user:

  • I understand that my use of the computer and the Internet is a privilege.

  • I will ask permission each time before I get onto the Internet.

  • I will act responsibly while using the Internet.

  • I will be polite and courteous while on the Internet.

  • I will not give out any personal information over the Internet.

  • I will never agree to meet with anyone I have met over the Internet.

  • I will never open e-mail if I do not know who sent it.

  • I will not respond to e-mail which makes me feel uncomfortable. I will tell my teacher right away what has happened.

  • I will not give out my Internet password to anyone.
